					Berkshire Instrument opened for business in 1987. The original location was in Pittsfield, Massachusetts in the Berkshire mountains. This is how the name originated. Joe Scherben, owner of Berkshire Instrument had been repairing aircraft instruments for six years at that time and made the decision to start his own business. In 1995 Berkshire Instrument moved to Montrose, Colorado. The name was not changed because of customer loyalty, and familiararity with the established name. Over the years we have increased our capabilities and refined our remanufacturing process to offer our customers the best possible service with the least amount of down time. We have built up a worldwide customer base and have built a reputation for reliability and value. We make the effort to keep our prices affordable while not compromising quality and dependability. Our customers are our best advertisement!
